After graduating college with a BS degree in Clinical Laboratory Science Sara decided to move to New York City to begin her career as a Medical Laboratory Scientist. After working at a few different area hospitals on assignment with a temporary agency Sara was offered a permanent position at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center. Sara has been working at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center for over five years and has gained valuable experience in the areas of Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology and Molecular Diagnostics. After 5 years in the laboratory field Sara decided that it was time to broaden her career horizons and obtain her master’s degree. She is currently working toward an MBA with a concentration Information Systems as well as two advanced certificates in Health Care Management and Health Care Information Systems. Her current studies have given her a greater understanding of the health care industry as well as where her current profession fits into the bigger picture. With all the exciting changes occurring in the health care field she looks forward to growing her career and being a part of the revolution. She is truly passionate about the health care field and feels that health care is a human right and not a privilege. She is eager to do her part to assist the United States’ health care industry in its transformation.
