Tracy Frankowski, MHA, MLS(ASCP)cm has a passion for science that led her to become a proud Medical Laboratory Scientist. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Combined Sciences from Youngstown State University, a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix, and is a nationally certified Medical Laboratory Scientist with the American Society for Clinical Pathology. Tracy has 29 years of experience at all levels of the laboratory, from bench scientist to administration, which provides a strong foundation for teaching and advocating for laboratory science. She currently directs a hospital-based medical laboratory science program and holds the position of laboratory safety officer. Her hope is to encourage clinical scientists and laboratory professionals to step from behind the biohazard door, support each other in our professions, become life-long learners, and spread the knowledge that laboratory science is a meaningful and rewarding profession.
